I'm currently sitting in this restaurant wishing I never even walked in this place. You would think that a waitress who works there would know the menu inside out but she seemed very ignorant about it and didn't know what was included in certain meals. The waitress messed up one of the orders twice and there were hairs found in 2 out of the 6 meals that were ordered. The food was not quality at all. The hash browns were cold, the sausage was undercooked, and the bacon was rubbery. I will never eat at this establishment ever again. I would rather eat at McDonalds.

We stopped in for dinner traveling north. Homemade pastie, sounded good. It was filled with ground beef, carrots, onion and rutabaga. The veggies were quite small shreds vs the larger diced pieces I'm used to, but quite tasty. Daughter got chili and liked all the meat and tomatoes in it. Husband got broasted chicken and liked it. All our food was served nice and hot.The dinners came with salad bar. Very nice and attentive waitress .

It's not bad. Delicious breadsticks! We had bud light on special for $1. Amazing patty melt. Really goooood blueberry bread and sweets!

Glad I finally stopped here! The Western omelette was spectacular, hash browns done to my request, crispy :), and the whole wheat toast made with their own home made bread, which you can purchase on your way out. My husband had biscuits & gravy with two eggs over easy. All this and coffee for under $18! The only catch, their bakery display case, located by the register, ensures you'll tempted to spend more as you leave. But again, you won't be disappointed. Doughnuts and breads to die for! Peanut brittle, cookies. Do yourself a favor, stop in!

The food here is good. For sure a fine spot for all you can eat breakfast buffet and lunch. Homemade breads and other bakery items are tasty. Carry out pizza at night is the best in town. The atmosphere is maybe not the best for an evening affair, even though they sell booze. The lights are bright and it just doesn't feel like a dinner joint. Overall really good. The one in Pinconning is also good because they have a sandwich bar :)

We LOVE the pizza there! It's become a must on our trips up north. Had some donuts the next morning and they were fantastic too!

Service was poor. Our waitress said we were her 3rd customer for the day. She forgot our water, coffee, garlic bread that came with meal. Also came back once because she forgot part of our order. Food was not good either. Pastie was very dry and too brown. Chicken breast for chicken Parmesan was rubbery. Waitress did not ask if we wanted dessert either. This was last Sunday around 3pm and restaurant was not busy at all. We will not be returning.

First and probably on visit. My Prime Rib sandwich was not hot but edible. Her burrito was cold and was sent back. It came back no warmer but was mushy and inedible. It was sent back and we told the waitress to not being it back. When we checked out it was still on our bill but a free dessert was offered to make right. I did not pay for it in the end but was not treated well.

The best pizza & breadsticks are amazing. One of the best pizzas I have had in a very long time. The dining area is ok. It's basically like any small restaurant that is up north. If I had had family recommended it I don't know that I would have stopped there. They have a bakery with really good sugar cookies. There wasn't a ton of stuff in the bakery but we were there around dinner time so I think if you went in the morning you get a better selection.

Very good food. I always order the perch dinner - lightly dusted and pan-fried. Dinners come with a salad bar and dessert. Reasonably priced. Great selection of Michigan wines. They bake their own pies on site. Probably the best restaurant in Au Gres.

Great owners, a bit of an institution in Au Gres. We only come here for breakfast...and it's fine. Nothing superb, but diner-type food in a nice atmosphere. Great collection of Au Gres tshirts and sweatshirts. Huge doughnut selection that we sometimes carry out and eat on the beach.

Great pizza and wonderful baked goods. Prime rib specials are always nice. I love the peanut butter cream-filled doughnuts.

Excellent pizza, pasties and ambiance for a cute little up north diner! They also have alcohol which is a plus
